The first edition is in reporting. Shift Signal will not publish a ranking, growth claim, or success rate until each organization has been checked against primary records and given an opportunity to correct material facts.
What the report will track
Ownership is only the first variable.
- Launch status, active geography, and operating model
- Who owns voting rights and who can change the rules
- Worker economics, fees, capital structure, and benefit allocation
- Dispatch, matching, pricing, and data-governance architecture
- Customer acquisition, retention, reliability, and scale constraints
- Closures, pivots, dormant projects, and negative evidence—not only success stories
Evidence standard
Primary records first; interviews add context.
Priority sources include organizational bylaws and filings, audited or official financial information, public repositories, peer-reviewed research, direct demonstrations, and on-record interviews. Promotional claims are attributed, not adopted as fact. Every edition will publish its field dates, inclusion rules, known gaps, corrections path, and sponsor disclosure.
