What does platform work actually pay in Philadelphia?

Platform estimates often omit expenses or blur different kinds of work. This pulse measures self-reported gross pay, hours, volatility, and dependence on tips using fixed answer ranges. It is a snapshot, not a representative census.

Methodology

Useful evidence with visible limits.

Population: adults who worked on at least one listed platform in the last 30 days.
Geography: Philadelphia, nearby Pennsylvania suburbs, South Jersey, and a separately labeled “other” group.
Recruitment: open voluntary sample; no claim of statistical representativeness.
Privacy: no name, email, raw IP address, precise location, or demographic profile is stored.
Publication threshold: no percentage headline before 50 qualified responses; small cells are suppressed.
Reporting: sample size, field dates, exact question wording, exclusions, and limitations will accompany every result.
